Inauguration of COVA Community Center, Kurmaguda, HyderabadA REPORT
COVA Community Center was inaugurated at Kurmaguda, Hyderabad on 26th May 2024 to secure entitlements and enable empowerment of people in four localities of Kurmaguda Ward and to foster harmony and peace between communities of the area. Another Center will be established in 1st week of June 2024 in Jangammet Ward.Together, these two Centers will cater to 5000 houses through direct outreach and another 5,000 households through Awareness Programs and Campaigns.
Bro. K. R. Janga Reddy, Smt. Swati and Maulana Mustapha, Christian, Hindu and Muslin Faith Leaders offered Multi Faith Prayers.
They invoked the blessings of the Almighty for success of the Community Center and hoped that it will bring together all communities and enable their comprehensive empowerment.
They specially urged youth to take all benefits from the Center.
Empowerment: Groups of Youth, Women and Community Leaders will be formed for planning and organizing Development and Peace Programs in the Localities through collaborative initiatives that will include leadership and social media training, spoken English, awareness, career counseling, personality development programs, sports and recreation activities for youth.
Entitlements: Members of the localities will be facilitated to obtain proper documents like Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Bank Account, Caste Certificate etc and their linkages where ever required. This will help them to apply Online and access a wide range of Government Schemes and Programs. Locality members will also get guidance and help to give representations to government departments for problems and get redress properly
Social Harmony: An important component of the Program will be formation of Peace Groups in each locality for prevention of conflicts and promoting harmony, through Multi Faith Celebrations and greater interactions between different communities through sports, recreation and development programs.
Prominent citizens, representatives of organisations, community leaders, women activists and youth participated in the Inauguration Program.
All welcomed the establishment of the Center and offered their full collaboration, partnership and participation in the programs and activities
