    Remembering Mahatma
    A Program to pay homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his Martyrdom Day was organised by COVA Peace Network on 30th January 2025 in Hyderabad.

    Over 100 Students from different schools painted and drew to express themselves on the Theme:
    India in 2025: Following or Violating Teachings and Values of Gandhi
    The essence of the teachings and values of Mahatma were creatively portrayed in the Street Play-

    The Guests of Honour for the Program were Mr. B. Ramakrishna Raju, Member of the Executive Committee of COVA,
    Sardar Rachpal Singh Khalsa, Sikh Faith Leader, Mr. P. Sainath Reddy, Chartered Accountant and Author,
    Ms. Sheela Ghosh, Principal, Integral High School and Mr. Ateeq Iqbal, Philanthropist.
    Mr Ramakrishna Raju asked students if they have studied any teachings of Mahatma Gandhi and urged them to follow Gandhian principles.

    Speaking on the occasion Sardar Rachpal Singh Khalsa stressed the key role played by Gandhi in expelling Britishers from India through non violence.
    He underlined that religion should not be used for violence and wanted the students to take example from the three monkeys of Gandhiji.

    Ms Shreela Ghosh remembered the sacrifices of martyrs in attaining independence. She urged that we all should work hard for an equitable society.

    Mr Sainath Reddy spoke about developing respect and harmony among different religions and equal participation of all citizens of India will make a strong society.
    The Program concluded with the Guests of Honour distributing Certificates and Gifts to the students
