Inauguration of Four COVA – Youth TRAC Sports and Recreation Centers for Youth of Kurmaguda Ward, Hyderabad, on 7th July 2024
Youth of the area- girls and boys- play Volleyball, Cricket and Shuttle Cock as informal groups with very limited sports material.
COVA provided sports material to 4 youth groups of the area and has started the process of formation of proper Sports Teams that will operate through Youth TRAC Centres
These Teams will also organise awareness and capacity building programs.
The Centers are Dedicated to Holistic Development of Youth through Recreation and for Community Empowerment and Peace

Report of Inauguration
Over a hundred people – mostly youth and prominent citizens, representatives of organisations, community leaders, women activists and seven visitors from Los Angeles USA attended.
It was resolved that apart from daily sports and recreation, Fortnightly Awareness Programs will be organised along with tournaments to bring together different teams on a regular basis
Some topics suggested by youth for the Awareness Programs are Personality Development, Spoken English, Career Counseling, Social Media and Leadership Training etc.
Multi Faith Celebration of Festivals will also be organised on a regular basis to promote better understanding of all religions and harmony in Society.
The highlight of the Program was an interesting interaction between the locality teams and seven youth who had come from USA.
The discussion centred around gun culture in USA and its dangers, safety of women and opportunities for higher education in US. On the other hand the visitors enquired about the aspirations and hopes of the youth of India and the problems and obstacles faced by them in pursuing their dreams.
The Three Objectives of the Program are:
1. Empowering Youth
2. Facilitating access to all Entitlements available to the youth and community as citizens
3. Modeling youth as Peace Ambassadors to promote harmony in society
It is proposed to catalyse 10 Youth Groups through Youth TRAC in Kurmaguda and Jangammet Wards of Hyderabad.
