About Society for Communal HarmonyEstablished in 1990 on the initiative of historian Dr. Bishambhar NathPandey and theologian scholar Ali Mian Nadvi, Society for CommunalHarmony is dedicated to the cause of communal harmony. The Societyaims at promoting unity and fraternity through justice, peace andprogress as enunciated in the preamble of the Constitution of India. Ithas taken constructive initiatives for inter-faith dialogues, awarenessbuilding among students and youth, interventions in conflicts, and reliefand justice for the victims of communal violence. Its activities includecampaigns, conferences, publications, social media platform andnetworking.Society for Communal Harmony is a body of concerned men andwomen from different walks of life in different parts of the nation.Bishambhar Nath Pandey, Ali Mian Nadvi, Somnath Chatterji, Sadiq Ali,Rabi Ray, Abdul Kareem Parekh, Kuldeep Nayar, Nirmala Deshpande,Surendra Mohan, C. K. Jaffer Sharif, Lama Lobzang, S. N. Subbarao,Chandrabhal Tripathi, Saida Saidain Hameed, Jagmohan Singh, A. K.Merchant, V. K. Tripathi and Abdul Mannan have been its pioneerssince 1990. Currently, SCH (Society for Communal harmony) is engagedin strengthening communal harmony and national unity and resistingpolitics of hate which was launched on 3 rd January,’22 and will continuetill 2024.
